UTILITY SHUTDOWNS:
- There will be a major electrical shutdown on December 27th.
The College is working with Rite-Way Electric to schedule this
work. Facilities is working on providing temporary power where
needed.
WORK AREAS:
Dupont Research Annex
- Temporary partitions throughout have been completed.
Rugby Field
- The new access road was paved with a base course of asphalt
and is open to traffic.
- Stockpiling of topsoil and fill is complete. Modifications to
the swale have been completed. Additional fill material has been
stockpiled alongside the topsoil for use as backfill against the
Science Center foundations.
Cornell Library
- Excavation at the south end of Cornell will resume during the
week of 17 December in preparation for building foundation work
that will start in early January 2002.
PEDESTRIAN / VEHICULAR ACCESS:
- The new service drive alongside the Research Annex was paved
and re-opened to traffic. The link between the DuPont Lot and the
service drive will be paved and re-opened next week.
- Parking along Whittier Place is prohibited during the hours of
7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Electrical work inside the manhole in the Hicks lot is
continuing.
NOISE, VIBRATION, DUST, ODORS
- No significant disturbance is anticipated in the next two
weeks.
DELIVERIES / HEAVY EQUIPMENT:
- Excavation at Cornell will require heavy machinery to be
delivered on site on Monday, 12/17.
